My last words for you

This project has taught me many things and to be honest I hated my self because global warming is big issue and I wasn’t sure what should and shouldn’t write in each post. Now, I finished the main points of the project and I am willing to contribute in reducing CO2 emissions and I think that every person in the world is responsible by one way or another about global warming even though most of people are not admitting that there is a crisis happening slowly and things will get worse in the future. I learned that people are selfish and they don’t care about our planet despite the fact that we will vanish if something bad happened to earth. Also, I am admiring those people who devoted their selves to aware the public about global warming dangers.

The last thing i love to say for all of you, don't waste your time people .. save the earth while you can... :)

How to reduce CO2 within the UAE ??!!

Many people say that they will do something to contribute in solving this situation but they forget to do so after a while. The reason is because their actions are big considering their free time. However, there are many small things that people can do even though they are too busy and these things I planning to do them to reduce the global warming. The most sensible way to prevent global warming is to not use as much of the stuff that creates greenhouse gases. Here are few things that I started to do to reduce the emission of CO2:

1) I started to turn off the lights when they are not in use. Although the light bulb itself does not emit gases, the power plants that are powering it do.

2) Also, whenever possible, I use a fan instead of air conditioner if the heat is not so high.

3) I keep my car tuned up. Because when it is running properly, it emits fewer harmful gases.

4) I can go to work with a friend who has a car to reduce the when it's possible.

I know that these actions would not change any thing significantly if it is preformed by only one person. But if every one started to feel responsible and try to reduce the used energy, this would defiantly start to lessen the global warming.

UAE and global warming

Today while I was surfing the net searching for the UAE activities to reduce global warming effects I found an article on the Gulf news. Here is the link

An Australian scientist is willing to set up his project here in the UAE to save the planet from global warming. His theory is to put more microscopic plants called Phytoplankton in the ocean water to absorb CO2. These plants can be the answer to reduce global warming effects as Professor Ian Jones said.
While Jones was in the UAE said that his theory is to add urea granules to parts in the ocean to let the phytoplankton bloom and act like trees.
Tones of CO2 could be immersed every year according to the idea and eventually it will reverse the effects of global warming.
Regarding this theory, roughly 1,000 tones of urea could take 10,000 tones of CO2. In addition, this project will be standing at $250 million which is equal to 1/4 the price of a power station. Also, these plants would benefit certain populations by providing food to those countries that are depending on fish as the main source for nourishment. However, there was one test like this in the past. It is called Ocean Nourishment and done by US researchers. They had succeeded and the water turned green.

Greenhouse Gases Vs. Glacier

In this post I will let the photos talk instead of me...

Natural Defenders

Coral reefs protect coastal regions from storms, floods while in the same time provides a proper home for thousands of marine species and attract tourists which assist the economy of many tropical regions.

A recent estimation valued the annual economic benefits of the world’s coral reefs at $30 billion. However, human activities including development in coastal areas, pollution have contributed to a global loss approaching 25% of these valuable ecosystems. Regarding to ocean heating, coral reefs are extremely affected and they may fully disappear during the next 50 years all over the world. It is said that even if the human stop pumping out green house gases it will be too late to save the coral reefs. It’s such a very beautiful thing in our earth is being lost by human hands.

Maybe many of us don’t value coral reefs as it should be but I think from now on we will realize the importance of these natural defenders.

after you saw this picture for coral reefs before and after it was affected by ocean heating, can you truly say that you don't care about it??...

global warming impacts

Any climate or temperature change may affect many things as well, including energy use and production, health and many other things. These consequences are threatening the planet and every creature on it. However, there will be major and extreme impacts as well as minor impacts. Spread of infectious diseases, floods, snow pack decline and droughts are models for what will happen by the global warming. In addition, the most two regions that were affected by global warming are the north and south poles where this ice Glaciers are melting which influenced in the wild life there. Today, while I was surfing the internet I saw many videos representing the causes and effects of global warming, and this video below is the best one I found. It is 1:27 minutes.

Carbon Dioxide and Global Warming

Many people don't know the meaning of CO2 and how much this gas is important to us and to our mother planet earth. CO2 is an abbreviation of Carbon Dioxide gas which has a specific concentration in the earth’s atmosphere of approximately 0.038%. However, this gas has many uses where it is used to extinguish fires and in many machines like coal burning plants which is energy conversion center that burn fossil fuels to produce electricity. These machines are the main source of CO2 in the atmosphere. However, it should be known that CO2 is also produced by car engines when fuel is burned. As CO2 is necessary to continue living on earth, it is also dangerous and can cause severe damage if its level increased a lot and this increase could be caused by human activities and machines. Nevertheless, CO2 level can be increase by natural sources like plants, animals and oceans but the main source is the fossil fuels. This chart here is showing the level of CO2 in the atmosphere and you can see that it was increasing rapidly in the five years.

some of my pictures

I promised you before that i will show you some of my picuters that I like. However, I should say that most of my pictures are casual and each one of them was taken in a special event. I would love to see know your opinions.

ENJOY ^_*

These two were taken in the Medical Technology class where I got very bored after hour and a half in the class. The pencils are representing the fighter swords ekekekekekek.

Last week, I found a secret place in the college ... I love this place and the constructions there was proof for the fast develpment in AD buildings.

Causes of Global Warming

Over the last 50 year, many scientists noticed that the earth temperature has been increasing by 0.6 ْ C per year. Some people say that it is normal but others are worried of its effects on our planet. However, people are not sure yet if this increase was caused by human activities or by natural causes. In addition, there are many natural factors can affect the earth temperature such as the increase in green house gases, increase in carbon dioxide and other air pollutants. These gases are gathering in the atmosphere and hold the sun’s heat and cause the planet to warm up. Coal-burning power plants and automobiles are the largest sources of carbon dioxide in the world.

what is global warming?

The increase of the air temperature near the earth surface is called Global Warming. The term “Global Warming” is used to describe the dangers of the green house gases which absorbs the harmful infra-red radiation which comes from the sun. This kind of gases consists of water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and other gases. However, this rise in temperature will affect many things around the world like killing greensward on the earth beside many other things. However, I should’ve mention that the atmosphere has greenhouse gases and it is useful because they absorb the sun heat to warm us but the problem is that its percentage were increasing rapidly over the years because of the human actions.

Little About My Studies

After I finished high school I joined to the Health Authority program to study Medical laboratory Technology. Now and after studying for year and half I can say that I love it and I don’t have any regrets for joining the program. There is something I love the most which is wearing the lab coat. In addition, you will see some photos I took in the lab over the last semester. However, besides taking scientific courses I also take English classes. In these classes we learn about global issues and problems and we suggest effective solutions for decreasing the problem. One of the biggest issues is the global warming which affects in many ways around the world such as increasing the earth temperatures and heat-related deaths. However, I intend to talk essentially about global warming and its severe dangers.

Welcome...Welcome

Hello everybody,
This is my first time in writing a blog. However, I hope you are going to love my blog. I am 19 years old and I love to take pictures for different and strange things aound me. I think you should know that I have a huge folder on my laptop full with pictures were taken by me since last year.
I would love to show you some of them which each photo has a special memory for
me.
